10 fish two day total of 45.58 pounds
$25,532 for the first place prize
July 21, 2010 Minnetonka, MN—Great fishing, world-class competition and hefty payouts will collide when the Cabela’s Masters Walleye Circuit returns to Big and Little Bays de Noc out of Escanaba, Michigan, September 11-12.
“We’ve got a good mix of year-classes and there are big fish to be found,” says Darren Kramer, area fisheries manager for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
Indeed, and MWC veteran Steve Bodinger of Chilton, Wisconsin, is expecting big things. “It’s a great fishery and good time of year to be there—we should see the beginning of the fall bite,” he says. “With the slot limit gone, we could see some big weights come in.” And make no mistake, Bodinger knows big walleyes. This April, he and brother Dan won the MWC’s Detroit River Eastern Division Qualifier with a monster two-day bag of 10 fish weighing 72.59 pounds, good for $17,400 in cash and prizes.
Sponsor News: Ranger Redesigns 620VS Fisherman
FLIPPIN, Ark. – Ranger’s 620VS Fisherman has long been a mainstay among MWC anglers and other serious walleye fans for its unequaled performance, even in adverse conditions. And for 2011 the 620VS has been redesigned with an all-new interior ideally suited for the modern tournament angler, guide or big-water fishing family.
Highlights include an all-new console layout that accommodates in-dash mounting of popular large-screen electronics, including the HDS10 from Lowrance. Other amenities include a new gear management system, snap-in carpet for easy maintenance, a revamped, open floor plan and wider gunnels at the rear.

The MWC is the longest-running professional walleye tournament circuit in the United States and remains serious competition for people who love to fish walleyes.
This is where the best fishermen gather to test their strategies, savvy and skills. MWC offers the ultimate reward in terms of respect and recognition from angling peers, as well as trophies and big cash prizes (with the potential of over $1,000,000 available in payout!)
By participating in the MWC, you will have the satisfaction of knowing you are working to improve fishing resources. There is a conservation fund of $15 per boat that goes towards local fisheries. For more information on how this money is spent, please visit the Wildlife Forever website.
